FIRST IN-LAST OUT

November 8, 2018:

FIRST IN, LAST OUT!

Happy Birthday United States Marine Corps! On November 10, 2018, we are 243 years strong. From Tuns Tavern to today. From the shores of Tripoli to the sands of Iwo Jima; through the chosen cold of Korea into the dense jungles of Vietnam. Iraq to Afghanistan. Marines ran to the fire, gave their lives, they’re bodies broken and burned, many even gave their right minds.

What is it about being a Marine? A paycheck or is it a job? Is it just a male or female thing? Is it rank? It’s been said that “it’s about the Eagle, Globe and Anchor.” “It’s a part of our soul.” It’s the right of passage through boot camp or officers’ candidate school. From skinhead to graduation; to the first time you put on a Marine uniform and can say and know “I’m a MARINE!”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY. SEMPER FI !
